Memphis trip..and the Memphis Zoo

On April the 16th we went to Memphis and stayed with Derek and Hallie for the weekend. Metta was also there with Hallie Cate. Bonnie, Jason, and Georgia also live in Memphis and so we were all able to be together...it was great. We had so much fun! We went to the Memphis Zoo on Saturday and the kids loved it. They have been there before, but forgot how neat it was. We were able to see the polar bear feeding and the sea lion show...that was so neat! On Sunday we were blessed to see our neice Georgia get dedicated. It was such a wonderful day and we enjoyed spending time with Scott's family.

Jackson's 3rd birthday

On April 10th we celebrated Jackson's 3rd birthday with a Scooby-Doo party. We had all the family at our house and had food, cake (Scooby-Doo of course), and ice cream. Jackson was so excited to see everyone and so happy to open all of his gifts. He LOVED his cake as well! He is such a joy everyday and loves to love on his parents and all the people around him. He got a gator from us for his birthday and that was a hit at the party (except when Will fell off the back of it..he was fine though). We love you Jack Jack!!

My children are growing up SO fast! I love them so much and am so blessed to have such wonderful children. They are all different; which makes parenthood so fun and trying at the same time. They do manage to get along...sometimes! We love you kiddos.

Last month we had 2 snow storms in Conway. The kids really enjoyed all the snow and so did we. They would complain that "its too cold out there". We made a snowman and rode around the neighborhood sliding everywhere in our golf cart.

I have not been very good at keeping my blog updated the past 6 months, but it is a new year and I am promising to do better.

I wanted to start by giving some facts/activities that have happened in my family in 2009:
-We joined Second Baptist Church at the first of 2009.
-I had the flu (for the first time) and pneumonia in March. I was VERY sick!
-Abigail had alot of gym competitions and her first competition season was great!
-Abigail played softball for the first time and was actually quiet good. Brady was too young, so her will for sure be playing this spring.
-Jackson turned the big "2" on 3/30/09.
-Brady turned "5" on 5/28/09. We decided to keep him in preschool one more year.
-Scott had shoulder surgery in June.
-Abigail turned "7" on 7/19/09. She also lost only 2 teeth in 2009...we are waiting for the rest to come out..haha!
-Scott had his Gallbladder removed in October (I think).
-Abigail had strep throat for the first time in September.
-Abigail went to her first real concert in October to see Miley Cyrus. Aunt Metta bought the tickets for her..so sweet.
-Brady and Jackson performed in their annual preschool Christmas musical in December and did a great job.
-We were able to get together w/Scott's family for Christmas and my family and had a great time.

Brady's 5th Birthday!

Brady, I can't believe you are already 5!! It seems like yesterday you were a baby. You are such a smart and strong-willed child. You go to CCA preschool 2 days/week and are home with your dad and sitter on Mondays and are home with me on W & F. You love to plan the Wii, play with you animal figurines, and play basketball. We are hoping to get you into fall baseball. You are a VERY picky eater. You love pizza, sugar cookies, chicken nuggets, cereal, tacos, salad/slaw, sugar cookiesand sister shubert rolls. You don't like most pasta dishes and chocolate cookies.

We had your b-day party at Thunderroad Race Track in Conway. You loved it and so did your friends. Here are some pics of the party. We love you Brady:)

We went to the Zoo a couple of weeks ago and the weather was great!! The kids loved it and Brady and I had a great time with just us. It is not very often that I get to spend time with just him. We ate lunch at the Zoo with the class and checked out all the animals. Thanks Brady for a great day!! I love you:)

What can I say, but that you have been such a blessing to our family. You are WILD and keep me and your family running, but you are such a happy child. You run everywhere you go and you will try to climb on anything. You do have a temper when you don't get your way!! It seems like yesterday you were born. You have such a great personality and are sooooo loving. I can always count on you to give us a big hug and kiss. We love you Jackson...Happy (belated) blog birthday post!!! Sleeping: We just made your crib into a toddler bed (since you were jumping out). Since then it takes you a long time to go to sleep, but you stay asleep all night!! Your bedtime is ~7:45, but it takes at least an hour for you to go to sleep (usually longer). You still take naps, but we try to limit them to 2 hours.

The dreaded FLU!

The past two weeks have been rough around my household. First, Scott got the flu, then he passed it on to me a week later. I don't remember ever having the flu in my life, but it is horrible. I had to miss a week of work. After a week and 2 days, I'm finally starting to feel back to "normal"....whatever that is!! Thankfully, my kids are doing good and are still staying healthy for the most part.

Last Tuesday I got a call from Abigail's school letting me know that Abigail had cut her head open and I needed to pick her up. When I got there Abigail was acting fine and they had stopped the bleeding, but it was deep enough to need a staple. She said that she was just walking and "not paying attention to where I was going" and hit a wall. I still don't understand exactly what happened! Anyway, we went back up to the clinic where I work and they put the staple in her head. She was so brave...she didn't make a peep. She even said to the doctor "that didn't hurt that bad"! I'm thankful that she wasn't hurt any worse than she was. Here are a couple of pics of her "accident."

I know Jackson is almost 2, but he has only had 3 real haircuts. He has fine "duck" hair and it is really hard for me to keep it tamed!! These are the pics from his last haircut. He did really good this time and actually stayed the whole time in the seat. He was given a sucker while he got his haircut, so he was really concentrating on finishing it! We love you Jackson...you are growing up so fast.

Chicago Trip

In January of every year Scott's business has their company Christmas (belated) party in Chicago because that is where the home office is. This year Scott and I were able to go up on Thursday (Jan 8th) and stay through Sunday, January 11th. I really LOVE Chicago and we always have a great time when we are there. It was REALLY cold when we went this time. I have never been when it has been so cold. There was a foot of snow one day, but that doesn't stop the people there. They are used to it I guess!! It was also nice to see the rest of our friends from the company. Here are a few pictures of the trip. I am so mad that I forgot my camera the night of the company party...we were all dressed up too!! Oh well:)

We had a great time spending time with family in Rison. The kids are getting old enough to play good MOST of the time together; which helps the adults get to visit more. I am so thankful to have such a great family. Since the weather was pretty nice then the kids played outside alot during our stay there. We just really hung out, ate alot, talked, laughed, and opened presents. I also cherish the time that I get to hang out w/the whole family b/c it doesn't happen near enough!!

We had a great Christmas this year! We were home Christmas Eve, so Santa was able to bring the toys to our house for Christmas Day! The kids also slept in..I don't think we even got up until 7:45..I couldn't believe it. Jackson had fun just tearing the paper and getting into everyone' gifts. Scott and I are truly blessed with our family.

Brady's school (Central Christian Academy)put on a Christmas musical this year and he did a great job. Scott was out of town because of work, so my parents went with me to hear the musical. Brady is quite the performer! He knew almost all the words and all the motions. I couldn't believe it since he can be pretty shy. He may just be my little performer after all!

We had a lot of fun this holiday. On December 19-21 we went to Memphis to spend Christmas with Scott's side of the family. We stayed with Hallie (Scott's sister) and her husband Derek's house. We had so much fun and the kids had a ball. Metta (Scott's sister) and her husband Justin also came from Little Rock for the weekend. Bonnie (Scott's other sister) and her husband Jason also live in Memphis and we all hung out all weekend. On Saturday, Scott's aunt Susie and her family came from Dewitt and we had a barbecue feast with appetizers...we all had a great time. It was nice for the kids to spend more time with everyone. Thank you guys for a great time!!

Brady's soccer season

Brady was in soccer this fall for the first time. He was slow to get started playing,but once he got used to the concept of soccer he did really well. Scott was his coach and had just as much (or more) fun than the rest of the kids. They had a good season and I think they won most of their games (we weren't supposed to keep score)...HaHa!!! We attended the first musical for Abigail earlier this month. She is in the first grade and they all looked so cute. She didn't have a solo speaking part, but she sang with the rest of the class. She was a butterfly. It was a cute musical, but alittle long. We have to remember next time to not bring the other kiddos...it was WAY to boring and drawn out for them!

They have a great time treating around the neighborhood, then we went to a friend's house for a weiner and marshmallow roast. They had a great time! I forgot to mention that the day before we left for Mexico Jackson woke up with the worst case of conjunctivitis that I have ever seen on a child. Thankfully, he looked better in a couple of days with oral antibiotics and antibiotic eye drops. He did look pitiful though! Poor Jack-Jack!!

Peurta Vallarta, Mexico Trip~Oct.18-25th

Scott and I had a wonderful trip to Mexico! It was so beautiful there, but it was hot! I did what I wanted to do there and that was absolutely NOTHING!! We relaxed by the resort pool, went shopping downtown(which is an experience), ate some great food (especially the salsa and guacamole), and hung out with his company friends. I actually became good friends with Scott's coworkers wife during the trip which I had never met before until our trip.

Here's the story of the day we left for Mexico~We leave our house at 4:15am to meet my dad @ Dixon Road by 5:30, so he can take Jackson to Rison (thanks dad for getting up so early). We then head to the airport for our flight @0655. I was so excited and alittle uneasy about our airplane ride. I have flown quite a bit, but still I'm alittle scared. Everything goes smoothly at check in and we were saved b/c my luggage only weighed 48pounds, so no charge-Yay!! We are getting close to boarding time and they tell us that the PILOT found a "faulty tire" and they need to get it replaced. I'm thinking, what about the maintence crew and why didn't they see this..I mean hasn't the plane been there all night? Anyway, We are 1 hour and 30 minutes past schedule and are stressing that we won't make it to our connecting flight in Dallas. The airlines tell us there is nothing they can do!! Well, we finally get on the plane 1 hour 45 minutes past schedule and finally make it to Dallas airport. At this point, we are thinking how we are going to make our connecting flight in 20 minutes at the DFW airport. Well, a worker gets on the plane and says "We need the Robnett's party of 2". We were so fired up b/c an American Airline worker person picks us up, puts us in a van and we go around the outside of the airport to our next airplane and and was valleted to the front of the line. We were thinking we were pretty special!!Haha They were thinking that they better do that or we were gonna be pretty mad!! Anyway, we get on the plane, then sit for 20 minutes, then the pilot says "there has been a problem with the paperwork in Mexico relating to customs and we need to get this changed before we can leave." Alright then...here we go. We wait another 20 minutes then FINALLY we were on our way to Mexico. Thankfully we made it safe to and from, but what a story to remember!

My kids did well and I'm thankful for my parents and Scott's dad and stepmom for helping us out. Scott and I both said it was too long for us to be gone..especially with little kids. It was nice for us to spend some quality time together,which we really needed.

I did go parasailing for the first time and it was SO MUCH FUN!! I'm alittle scared of heights, but once I took off I was alright. I was actually talking out loud (who cares, nobody could hear me) in the sky saying it was beautiful and God's creations are so amazing. I was happy when I landed safe and sound back on the beach though. Scott also went and loved every minute of it.

Catching up!

Well needless to say I have been pretty bad at our blog lately. Last month flew by and now October is going by way to fast as well. I have lots of pictures and posts that will follow, but just wanted to give you a quick update of the Robnett clan.

-I am feeling better (at this moment) w/all my nausea, diarrhea...etc.. stuff. We are pretty sure it is my gallbladder, but I'm leaving it in until I start feeling really bad again (I know..I'm horrible....a typical health professional!!) Over the last month I have had an ultrasound, a EGD, and a Gallbladder Ejection Fraction Test. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. I will keep you updated on any changes!

-Brady started soccer and is doing pretty well. Scott is his coach and is loving it! Brady was really shy the first couple of games and thought he would just watch, but now he is actually playing....Yay!!! He is attending a christian academy preschool two days a week and loves it. He is learning alot this year!

-Abigail is in competitive gymnastics and practices 2 days/week and they are 2 1/2 hours long. She loves it and is constantly doing flips EVERYWHERE we go. Her first competition is this Saturday. Its a practice meet, so no scores but it gives them a chance to see how the meet works. Abigail is loving first grade and is doing really well. She only gets her card changed occasionally...which we are proud!!!

-Jackson is just as sweet as ever. He was 18 months on the 28th and weighs 26 1/2 pounds. He is now being treated for his 2nd ear infection in less than a month. I hope this doesn't continue. He goes to a christian academy school 2 days a week and seems to love it. They note that he always eats ALL his food...imagine that!

-We have been to Memphis to see Scott's sisters and their spouses and had a great time. We also went to the Memphis zoo which is awesome!! (man, I've gotta get pics posted). We just went to the USA gymnastics tour at Alltel last night and had a blast!! I love watching gymnastics and Abigail was glued to their routines the whole time. I even got to shake Jonathan's (men's gym team) hand as he was running through.

-We have been going to a new church the last 2-3 months. Its Second Baptist Church in Conway. We love it and love our small group. We had our first small group get together last Friday and had a wonderful time. I'm so thankful that we have found a church up here where we can continue to grow as a family. The kids love their classes as well.

-Last but not least Scott and I are leaving for Puerto Vallarta Mexico on Saturday and will be gone until next Saturday the 25th. I'm nervous, excited, and sad all the same time. I have never left my children this long. Please keep us in your prayers.

My little bell ringers!

Abigail and Brady were the bell ringers in David & Megan's wedding Saturday. Man, it was a beautiful wedding. It was one of the most Godly, emotional, & uplifting weddings I have ever seen! Megan looked absolutely beautiful!!! I can remember keeping her when she was a toddler, and now she is married! She was also my nanny for Brady when he was just a baby. The kids did great...they walked down the isle and rang their bells as they were told. I tried to get pictures before the wedding, but my camera was dead and had to charge it up before the wedding....Michelle I'm gonna need pictures!!!:) Anyway, we all had a great time. Thank you Megan for letting us be a part of your special day.

Labor Day @ the Lake!

We went to my parents lakehouse on Labor Day weekend to relax. We went up on Friday and came back home on Monday morning. The weather was perfect. My parents and the Rauls clan was staying at the cabin as well. We enjoyed boat riding, skiing, and just relaxing on the lake and the cabin. The kids got along really well too!!:)

Abigail's 1st day of 1st grade!!!

Abigail started school at Jim Stone Elementary on August 18th and is loving it. Her teacher is Ms. Schultz and she is wonderful. Her room is decorated in animal print and animals, which makes it more fun for the kids to learn. She likes all her classmates, but does miss some of her friends that moved to the new school this year. When I was pulling in to park the first day to walk her in she said, "Momma you can just drop me off." I told Abigail that I wanted to walk her in the first day and that was that. She decided to hold my hand as we were walking down the hall and even gave me a goodbye hug when I left...I was so happy she did that!!

Gulf Shores Trip

We left on Sunday July 6th at around 11am and headed towards the beach. The whole family met up at Hattiesburg Mississippi and stayed at a hotel Sunday night. Monday morning we set off to Gulf Shores. There were 15 people in all...man that is alot, especially when 7 are kids ages 6 and under. We had a great time though. We (the girls) layed out on the beach some, the kids played in the sand and played in the water (although they didn't like the stinging of the jellyfish!). We had 2 condos between the 4 families. We all just had a great time hanging out with each other. The kids also loved the kiddy pool, so we spent alot of time there as well. During the week we ate at "The Hangout", "Sea-n-Suds", and "Cottons". We also went to the nearby track and had a good time riding the go carts. I think we all had a fun time and thankfully the kids got along good....most of the time!! HA HA!!!

I have been HORRIBLE about updating my blog this summer, so now I'm trying to catch up.
The month of June was a busy month for us. We celebrated Brady's birthday party at the first of the month, then we went to Branson (everyone except Jackson--he stayed w/my parents) for a couple of days. We went shopping and spent a rainy day a Silver Dollar City. We also met up with my friends Wendy and Celeste and their families at Branson Landing to eat and let the kids hang out. They were all so cute!! We had a great time with them.
On the 9th, Scott and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been 7 years. In the 7 years I have been through graduate school, built a house (then moved out of it less than 2 years later), had 3 children, Scott was hospitalized with Menigitis, Brady was hospitalized with croup and had to have 2 surgeries, and we have moved 3 times. I love you boo--thank you for all you do for me and the kids!!!
At the end of the month we met up w/my whole family at the lake house. We ate alot and enjoyed some fun on the water. We had a great time with all the family.

Brady's 4th Birthday!

Brady turned 4 years old on May 28th. He has been such a joy and blessing in our lives. He has such a sweet, tender heart and we love him so much. I will talk about "Brady's delivery" in a different post.

We had a Birthday dinner for him @ El Parian and they sang "Happy Birthday" to him. He was so embarrassed. They made him wear the sombrero during the whole song.

He had his "dinosaur" birthday party at Sonshine Academy on Saturday June 7th. The kids all had a good time and he was so excited to play with everyone and eat cake. That night he told me, "I had a good day mommy"....that is priceless!! We love you Brady!

Mother's Day Luncheon and my "MOM" letter

Thursday May 8th I went to Brady's preschool for a Mother's Day Luncheon. The preschoolers helped make the spaghetti w/all the fixins. It was so nice. They also sang songs about mothers. He did so good! I also took home alot of things he made for me for Mother's Day. I really enjoy these special times w/Brady.

Abigail wrote a letter for me for Mother's Day during school. Here is what it said and this is exactly how she wrote it..I Love my MOM because..she hepss (helps) me with a kaace (cake). And she helps wnn (when) I am sick. And I like it wnn (when) she dos (does) that. And she loves me. And she kodos (cuddles) with me.
-I love this letter and I will cherish it forever...Thanks Abigail.

Toad Suck Daze!

Saturday morning Abigail and I went to Toad Suck square to watch some of her friends perform their gymnastics and cheer routines. She had so much fun watching them. It is so amazing what these little girls and boys can do now. I hope that I will be watching her perform next year w/her gym team!

Saturday afternoon we all went back to Toad Suck Daze as a family. It was SOOO crowded! Jackson was in the stroller and Scott and I were holding onto Abigail and Brady for dear life. The kids had a good time riding all the rides and walking around seeing all the different vendors. When we left there we went out to eat Mexican food (my personal favorite). The rest of the night we relaxed and watched a movie. The kids were WORN out, but it was a great day!!!

Here are a few pictures of Abigail's soccer game from Saturday. She scored 3 goals. I think she is finally starting to get to concept of soccer. She told me the other night that she had to "get dirty" (meaning her clothes) if she wanted to play defense?! I didn't ask her if she actually KNEW what defense meant....I didn't until junior high (that is pitiful-I know)! Anyway, she has 2 games on Saturday to catch up from all the rained out days that we missed.

I want to share my baby delivery experience (like other bloggers) since Jackson just turned 1 year on March 30th.

On Thursday March 29, 2007 I went to see Dr. Wendel for my regular OB appointment. We had already talked about my going into the hospital that night. I was 39+wks and I get induced (or augmented in this case) because he is on call on Thursday nights and on Friday's and wanted to MAKE SURE he was there to deliver my third child. He told me in the clinic I was 4 cm and he was SURE it would not take long for me to have Jackson. Being an old labor and delivery nurse I'm thinking he is totally right...3rd child, 4cm dilated....no problem. He told me not to get to the hospital until after midnight, so basically I would not go too quickly and he could get some sleep during the night. Well, Scott and I hung around the house that day and packed and tried to take a nap, but that was hard because I was too excited (my parents had my kids). Oh, Scott will be embarrassed by this, but we both got a pedicure that evening. It was wonderful and sooooo relaxing. Anyway, we finally got to the hospital at 1:30 am (Friday 3/30/07). I got to see all my Labor and Delivery nurses and friends and they had a big room saved for me. They also had the room set up perfectly. Once I was admitted the resident checked me and I was still at 3-4cm/50%/-2. I'm still thinking once the Pitocin starts, it won't be long. The girls started the Pitocin at 3:45am and was starting to hurt. For some reason I wanted to wait as long as possible for my epidural because I didn't want to be a wuz. Well, by 5:15am I decided it was time for some relief. Although just because you get an epidural it doesn't mean it is going to work.....and after a while it didn't work (at least it didn't on my left side). I do have to note that this happens to me w/ ALL my epidurals. I don't know why and neither do the anesthesiologist, but it was painful!! Especially when my girls are bumping up the Pitocin every 20 minutes. They could have cut off my right leg and I would have never know, but I could feel EVERYTHING on my left side after about 3 hours from them placing the epidural. Anyway, Dr. Wendel kept coming in thinking I would progress pretty fast, but no no. 9am past-they broke my water, then 10am past, then 12am past, then 1pm past. I was starting to think I wasn't going to deliver. I kept asking Dr. Wendel "Do you think I can do it", and he would say "Of course you can". I kept thinking this is my 3rd child, why is this taking SO long (I know that is what my family was thinking). Finally at 2:10 I heard an exciting statement "Its time to push". I then delivered a beautiful boy at 2:18pm that day and was so exhausted. He came out pink and crying ( even though he had his cord wrapped around him loosely) and needed no resuscitation. We were so thankful and I was so relieved it was over. And you know after all that pain, I would love to have another child...I know I'm crazy.

Well, March 30th was your actual birthday, but we celebrated your birthday on 4/5/07 because of spring break issues. First of all we are so blessed to have you in our lives. You brighten up my day EVERY day. You have such a sweet spirit and hardly ever cry. You have the biggest grin and sparkly eyes. Here are some things about you: Wt:21lbs 12oz Ht: 30.5in HC:18 3/4 in
FEEDING: I completely quit breastfeeding you on 4/6/08. You are using a sippy cup during most of the, but I'm still giving you a bottle some. I'm slowly trying to take it away. You love the little crunchies baby snacks as well as the puffs. You also like english peas, mashed potatoes, and bananas. You are getting picky about baby food since you are trying out "our" foods. Overall, you eat and drink really well.
SLEEPING: Well, you still do not like to sleep all night. It drives me and your daddy CRAZY! You are getting better than you were, but you are teething again, so maybe that is why you are sleep is disturbed. You still love your pacifier and it makes all things better.
PLAYTIME: You love to play with any kind of a ball. You also love ALL your other toys. You are so content to play by yourself in your little playpen. You also love watching "The Wiggles", "Baby Einstein", and "Barney" movies. You will just dance and clap to the music.
DEVELOPMENTAL: You have been walking since you were 9 1/2 months old. You walk so fast now it is so funny. You look so bow legged now, but your Uncle Russ says it will get better! You can say s (yes), ta 2 (thank you), uh oh (uh oh), and dd do (peek a boo), mama, and dada. You can wave bye when you WANT to. You have mastered the pincer grasp.
You have 5 teeth and you have 3 more trying to come in at the same time. You wear size 4 diapers. You are wearing size 12-18, 18mths clothing. You can even wear some 24 month things. We love you very much and are truly blessed!

We went to Rison on Friday night to spend the weekend with my parents. Jackson had a fever virus from Thursday until Sunday evening. He was in a pretty good mood though. By the time we got there, we just ate supper and sat around and talked.
On Saturday, the kids and I decorated and dyed Easter eggs and then they hunted eggs about three times. They also played on the swing, rode the 4-wheeler, tractor, and the ranger. That afternoon mom, Abigail, and I went to Fordyce to put flowers on my grandparents grave. We lost my Nanny on 3/31/05 to a painful battle of Colon cancer. She was a wonderful woman and the most unselfish lady I have ever met. When we left Abigail said "I love you Nanny". We miss her daily, but know that she is in a wonderful place called Heaven. When we got home we ate again and was entertained constantly by Abigail and Brady.
Sunday we woke up way early to attend Easter sunrise service at my old church. The service was really nice and it was great getting to see and talk to all the Rison folks! After the service we had a fellowship breakfast and the kids hunted Easter eggs on the church grounds. By the time we got back to my parent's house, we rested then ate lunch (alot of eating I know). Even though Jackson was not feeling great, I bundled him up and let him find some eggs since this was his first easter. Anyway, we had a great time and it was nice just to relax in Rison. Preschool Easter party & Instrumental Concert at JSE

Thursday was a very busy day. First, Jackson and I went to Brady's preschool where they had an Easter party and egg hunt. He had so much fun w/his friends finding Easter eggs and playing games. He was VERY scared of the Easter bunny and would not get his picture taken with him, so I just got Jackson's picture.

Thursday afternoon I went to the Kindergarten's instrumental concert. All the K kids at JSE performed 3 songs. They used decorated coffee cans, cereal boxes, & paper towel holders as their "instruments". It was really cute. Abigail played the drum! The kids also sang as they played. The last song they just danced and sang to the Cha Cha Slide. Those kids can dance now!! It was true entertainment. I tried to video Abigail, but I couldn't get a good view of her from where I was sitting.

Be Thankful

I don't usually write alot about myself on my blog, but other bloggers have inspired me. My husband has been gone since Monday for a business trip in Chicago. It has been a little crazy around my household. I get home from work at ~5:30, fix supper for me & the kids, feed Jackson his meal, bath time, pajama time, pick out clothes for the next day, homework (yes, Abigail has homework), say a prayer, then try to get everyone to go to bed. Well, when daddy is gone my kids like to sleep in my bed. It is a circus! Jackson's crib is also in my room, so he can't go to sleep until they are asleep because they are so loud. Man, by the time they all FINALLY go to sleep I am worn out. Tonight is the first night that they have all been asleep by 9:00 (usually bedtime is 8pm when daddy is home). Anyway, I was complaining to myself how hard this is for me sometimes, then someone sent me an email about a lady who doesn't have arms and takes care of her baby with her legs, feet, and toes. I was so amazed and humbled. I need to be thankful (the purpose of this blog) that I'm able to take care of my kids, that I have my health, and my kids are healthy.

Weekend Update

Friday night I went with my friend Stephanie out to eat at Market Place, then went to the early Rhea Lana sale until 10pm. Saturday morning we woke up thinking Abigail would not have her soccer game since it hailed and rained a lot Friday night. They sent us an email saying that her game was still on for 9:30 and it would be muddy. Boy was it nasty on that field! It was also a lot colder than we expected. Abigail really wasn't into the game as much as usual. I asked her what was wrong and she said "I didn't want to get dirty!" Anyway, Snow and Mimma made it to the game at halftime and we were happy to see them. After the game we hung out at the house for a little while, then had to make a quick trip to Walmart to get a birthday present for a party that started at 2pm. We made it to Adisyn's party just in time. After an exciting party, my family decided to go out to eat at El Parion. After dinner we FINALLY went home. We then surprised the kids with the "Bee Movie" (which is very cute). It was a wonderful weekend.

Snow Day

Today the kids and I stayed home and enjoyed the snow. Abigail's school was cancelled and I couldn't make it safely to work. It snowed about 2.5 inches at my house. We had so much fun. We made a little snow man, baked some chocolate chip cookies, then just hung out together. I'm glad we went outside this morning, because by 3pm it was all melted. It was nice while it lasted!

Abigail had her first soccer game Saturday morning. We were really proud of her. She made 2 goals!! Although this is recreational soccer and they don't keep score, I made a mental score and it was 4-3 (we lost). Hey, they had a great time and we really enjoyed watching them. I heard Abigail tell her coach "when are we going to be done, I'm getting tired". They were making me tired watching them run back and forth. Abigail had her first soccer practice tonight and Scott said it was so funny and cute. Abigail has never played before, but seems to catch on pretty fast. Her first game is this Saturday. Tonight was the only practice before the first game...interesting! I will update you all after her game with details and pictures. Between school, gymnastics, and soccer practice today, Abigail was WORN OUT!!!

My parents decided to keep Abigail and Brady this weekend. They came up to Conway on Friday afternoon and picked them up and Scott will meet them tomorrow afternoon. It has been nice to spend some quality time with just Jackson. He has loved it as well. We went out to eat Friday night at Fuji's with our friends Eric and Gena and Jackson was absolutely perfect. He does pretty well in a highchair as long as he has something to snack on. On Saturday we went to Walmart, then just hung out around the house the rest of the day. Tonight we are planning to visit our friends Rob and Aimee and their baby Riley. We really miss Abigail and Brady, but it is nice to relax with just one around the house. I have forgotten what that is like!! Here are a couple of pictures of Jackson this weekend.

New job update

I have been at my new job for 1 week now and it is going pretty good. I am working at the Greenbrier Family Medicine clinic on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday. The people at the clinic are really nice and have been helpful to me. I'm already staying busy, so that is a good sign I think. We are seeing a ton of flu and stomach virus, so beware everyone around Greenbrier and Conway. I'm just praying that my family doesn't get sick!!!!!!

Jackson is 10 months old today!

Jackson is 10 months old today. Wow, the time is flying by. He is growing by leaps and bounds!! He has his well-child checkup next week, so I will let you all know what his weight and height are. He is still nursing, but also takes formula when I'm at work (I don't have enough saved for him). He usually takes about 7 1/2 ounces every 3-3.5 hours. He loves most of his fruit baby foods, but is getting picky about his meat combo dinners. He loves all of his vegetables. Oh, and he loves his little puffs too. He is still pretty much in a feed/play/sleep routine. He is walking everywhere now, so he is getting really active now. He still loves to play in his playpen and watch Baby Einsteins and Wiggles. He usually takes a short nap in the morning and a longer nap in the afternoon. His sleeping at night is sporadic. Sometimes he sleeps all night, but usually wakes up at least two times a night. I don't know why, but it WEARS ME OUT!! I really hope the sleeping gets better soon. Besides the bad sleeping habits, he is a very happy, loving baby. He can say "bye bye", "hi", "mama", "dada", and I think "no". He is trying to say lots more though!! We love you very much Jackson and are so happy you are in our lives.

Jackson took his first steps about 2 weeks ago (9 1/2 months), but now he is really starting to walk everywhere. It is so cute to watch him walk---his little short legs and long body. He gets so excited about walking everywhere. We are now kid proofing the house--Again!! Oh, sorry for the video, I didn't know how to rotate it. You can also see he is quite the little shaker too!!!

An update about the Robnett life

I haven't posted anything in a couple of weeks, so I wanted to share with you all what has been going on around here. I quit my job on the 3rd of this month. It was kind of a last minute thing. I knew I needed to find something else, and I trusted that God would help me find that great next job. I had worked with this physician for 1 1/2 years. I was basically tired of the crazy things he was doing and the way he was treating me. It was a burden lifted off of me the day I quit. The next day, I was calling around for other job opportunities. To make a long story short, I found another job working 24 hours/week in a family practice clinic in Greenbrier. It is owned by Conway Regional and I will be getting "pirks" and part-time benefits. I'm really excited about that. I will start my new job on February 4th. I am so nervous and hate change, so please keep me in your prayers.

Also, my babysitter called me a couple of weeks ago and told me that she was going to have to quit due to health reasons. She also had started having seizures all of a sudden. I was just so upset because she was so great. I immediately starting calling everyone I knew, but didn't get any response. Then, last Saturday I got a call from an old babysitter (and wonderful friend) that she just found out that a girl she knew was sitting out from college and needed a job. Jami then emailed me and told me she was interested. We interviewed her the next day, and now she is our new babysitter! She will be coming to the house on the days I work to keep the kids. I'm so excited about this and the kids already seem to like her. God is good and we are so blessed to have Jami. I feel a lot better starting my new job when I know my kids will be taken care of.

Since the 3rd, I have truly enjoyed staying home with my kids everyday. I have been treasuring every moment. Jackson is growing so fast and is changing everyday. Brady is getting to be such a big boy. Abigail is loving school and can be a little girly mess!

Weekend in Chicago!!!

Friday morning I flew out at 8:15am to Chicago to meet up with Scott. It was his companies annual Christmas party. Scott had been there since Wednesday morning for meetings, but I didn't want to leave the kids that long right now. Anyway, everything went smoothly at the airport in Little Rock and I had a pleasant flight to Chicago-O'Hare airport. Once I got there a co-worker from the company was there at baggage claim to pick me up. It is a pretty big airport, but I managed to find the right claim area (thank the Lord). After stopping by the main office, we met all the wives for our annual ladies luncheon. I can't even remember the name of the restaurant, but it was really good. All the ladies are older than me, but we had a good time visiting. This company is neat in that it is a Christian company and everyone loves the lord. These ladies have a lot of wisdom. After lunch I get a ride to the hotel to rest and to pump (I hadn't had a chance to do that since late Thursday night). Scott finally arrived at the hotel about 2 hours before the party. We then headed off to Charlie and Linda's house (one of the bosses) for appetizers and to visit. You know I love to hear people from Chicago talk. It sounds so neat. They tell us that they love to hear me talk----guess it sounds really country!! After visiting we go to Pete Miller's restaurant for our party. This place is know in Chicago for their steaks and it was fantastic. We had so much fun and LOTS of eating. We finally got back in our hotel for the night at about 11pm.
We slept in on Saturday and his boss Charlie drove us to downtown where we were staying. That was really nice of him b/c it took about 40 minutes to get there and that was record time. The weather was great---high was about low 30's, but not to windy. I was really hoping for some snow, but that didn't happen. Anyway, we decided to have a fun filled day by going to the Shedd Aquarium (which was free for some reason). It was really neat and I'll have some pics for you later. We took pictures of the scenery and Opera's condo. We then took a taxi to Michigan Avenue to see the shops. We have been there before, so we kind of knew where we wanted to go. We went to the Water Tower, which is an awesome mall, then went to Nordstrom's mall where most everything is way to expensive. We tried some Ellie's chocolates which is famous to that area. I about cried when 4 little bitty chocolates were $6.00. But hey, it was CHOCOLATE!!! We then just walked and walked all down Michigan Avenue. It is crazy with all the people and traffic. We went back to our hotel about 4:30 and got ready to go out. We were so tired we decided to just go eat. We walked about 8 blocks in the cold to Shaw's Crabhouse. It is highly rated and it celebrities go there. Well, of course we didn't see any though. Anyway, it was good, but I only had the shrimp. Scott ate all the crab legs and stuff--yuck!!! After supper, we decided to walk back (to burn some calories) and see some sights as we headed to the hotel. It is a beautiful city and so much to see. This was my third time to go and still didn't get to do everything. We had a great time and much needed time for me and Scott. I realized that we need to take more time for us. It is really hard to leave my kids, but I always have a good time. Thank God for our safe travel and stay. I want to thank my parents for keeping my kids. We love you both so much for doing that for us. I KNOW it wasn't easy!!!

Last weekend (I know its late) we went to Stuttgart to have Christmas w/Scott's dad Gary, his step-mom Celeste, and Scott's grandparents. We had lots of fun visiting and seeing one of Scott's half brother Casey and his wife. They have a son named Cason who is only 8 days older than Jackson. It was nice to hang out and not be rushed to go anywhere else.

Last Saturday we then went to Dewitt to spend time with Scott's mother Debbie. She is in the nursing home. I will let Scott write in the blog about his mother when he feels like he can without getting too upset. The kids call her "Debbie Debbie". We enjoyed visiting with her and I know she loved seeing the kids. Afterwards, we went to Aunt Sue (Scott's aunt) and Granny Ferguson ( his maternal grandmother) at their house in Dewitt. We had fun hanging out with them as well as some of their cousins Adam and Alden. Jackson also experienced his first popsicle--well he sort just licked on it ( I know I'm strict!!!) Anyway, we had a great time visiting with everyone. We also appreciate all the presents. The kids loved them all!!!

On Friday the 21st, we went to Little Rock to Metta and Justin's house to have Christmas w/ Scott's sisters and their men. There was Bonnie (Scott's sister) and Jason, Metta and her fiancee Justin, Hallie (Derek was not there b/c he had to work-ughh), and our family. We exchanged gifts and had a mexican fiesta. We had so much fun!!! Thank ya'll for all the wonderful presents for the kids. They loved them all!!!! See the slideshow above for pictures.

Ok, I know this is late, but I wanted to get caught up on all my holiday activities.

We went to Rison on December the 22nd to spend some time with my family for Christmas. By the time everyone got there there were 15 people in my parent's house--8 adults and 7 kids. It was crazy to say the least, but so much fun. Scott got an 18 hour stomach bug, so he was sick for most of our stay:(. The kids played and fought the whole time. It was so nice to have everyone there and to visit. I know my parents were happy as well. We have so much to be thankful for. Thank you guys for a wonderful time and for all the presents. We are truly blessed!!

Santa visit

We decided to go to the mall on our way to Rison to get the kids picture with Santa. Everything sounded good to Brady until we got in line. He told us he didn't want to see him, but we thought he would be alright once he saw him up close. Well, as you can see from the picture Brady threw a FIT when he got close to Santa. Scott even tried to help by sitting with him. Abigail loved Santa. She told me that she didn't tell him what she wanted for Christmas b/c he didn't ask!!! Jackson was alright sitting in his lap until he actually looked at him. Once he saw Santa's face, his lips started quivering and then he started crying. Well, at least I got a couple pictures for my scrapbook.

Thursday afternoon I went to Abigail's school for her Christmas party. They decorated gingerbread houses and ate snacks. Santa even came by for a visit and they sang "Jingle Bells" with him. The kids had a lot of fun!!!

Thursday morning Jackson and I went to Brady's Christmas program at his preschool. All the kids in his age group sang 4 songs including "Happy Birthday to Jesus" w/ a cake. Brady did so good. He even bowed after their last song. He is going to be quite the performer!!! He couldn't wait to give his teacher "Ms. Howwy" (Holly) her gift. I thought that was so sweet. Jackson is growing so fast!!!

Jackson, you are now 8 months + 12 days. You are getting so big and changing so much every day. You weigh 21 lbs (about 2 wks ago) and were a size 3 in diapers. You are in some 6-12mths, 12mths, and some 12-18mths clothing. Here is some things about you.

Eating: You love it!!!! Breastmilk, formula, and baby food. You love them all.

Developmental: You can stand up w/out holding on to anything. You even took 1 little step last weekend. You are cruising around the tables and ottoman. You can craw like a race horse. You can wave, clap, and imitate others. You can say "mama", "dada", "bye", and other words that only you know the meaning to!!! You are a busy body when you are on the floor and like to put everything in your mouth (just like you big sister used to).

Mood: You are so easy going and hardly ever cry. When you do get mad it is on-----you are MAD!!! Even when your tired, you don't cry much. What a blessing you are!! You wake up in a good mood too.

Sleep: Well, you are still not the greatest at this task. You are still in a eat/play/sleep routine, but just with a little nap in the morning and a big nap in the afternoon. You usually don't go to sleep for the night until about 9:30pm. Oh, but you don't stay asleep. Sometimes you sleep all night, but not very often. When you wake up aroun 1am I put you in my bed until you (or I ) fall asleep, and then you go back to your bed. This happens at least 3x/night. Man, you need to sleep better.

We love you so much and we are having so much fun with you and the other kiddos. You LOVE your big brother and sister too!!!!!!!

First sleepover party

Abigail, you attended your first real sleepover birthday party last night. You and seven other girls ate pizza and hot dogs and watched movies. You said you also played dress-up as well. You all didn't go to sleep until 1am this morning. You were worn out!!! It makes me sad to know you growing up. I guess this is the start of more bunking parties, or as you say pumpkin parties!! Oh, I had to put this picture of you in here as well. You got into my lipstick before the party and tried to put it on----let's just say you are not ready for make up yet!!!

Abigail's Gymnastics Show!!

Abigail attended the gymnastics show at Sonshine Academy on Saturday. They all got in groups according to their classes/age groups and showed us what they have been learning. You did so good Abigail and we are so proud of you.

The owners of the Academy said a prayer before the show and also had a birthday cake for Jesus at the end of the show. It made me happy to know that Abigail and Brady are in a Christian environment while learning gymnastics. You don't see that very often.

Another cousin for my kids to love

Tenille had baby Lauren via c/s on 12/7/07. She was 5 lbs 3 oz and 18.5 inches long. They are at home now and doing well. You can check out pictures on Lexi's blog (she went straight to the nursery, so I didn't get one). Congratulations Tenille, Russ, & Lexi.

For those of you who don't know our family, this makes the 7th grandchild for my parents!!! What a blessing. They are all close in ages too. Here is the updated list---Anna (6), Abigail (51/2), Layne (4-later this mth), Brady (31/2), Lexi (3), Jackson (8mths), & Lauren (2 days). We have so much fun when our whole family gets together. It stays very interesting!!!

Just wanted to post some recent pictures of Jackson. He is getting so big!! It makes me sad to think that he is growing up. He can now wave "bye bye" and can pull up. He is also speedy gonzales in his walker now. He is so much fun!!!!

Preschool Thanksgiving Feast!

Thursday I went to Brady's preschool for their Thanksgiving feast and program. All the kids in the Pre-3 classes sang little Thanksgiving songs for their parents/caregivers. It was so sweet and he did such a good job. I didn't know if he would do hand motions since he can be shy, but he was just really getting into it. After they sang, the kids all sat at their assigned seats w/their parents and we ate lunch that they helped prepare. We had corn, chicken nuggets, some different salad (not sure what it was), buttered muffins, and pumpkins squares for dessert. He gave me his paperwork which had all that he was thankful for. He said he was thankful for mommy, daddy, Abigail, Jackson, & Buzz and Woody(from Toy Story). Hey, at least we were first on his list!!! We are thankful and blessed everyday to have you too Brady.

Preschool gymnastics show!!

Yesterday morning we went to Brady's preschool gymnastics show at Sonshine Academy. All the preschool gym classes on Monday met @ 10am to show off what they had been learning. It was so cute! Brady had so much fun and really got into it. Of course the picture we took after he got his metal he wouldn't smile. That is just like him though. The video is him walking on the little balance beam forwards and backwards. Hey, that can be tough for lil ones!!!!

Career dress up day

Today was career dress up day at Abigail's school (Jim Stone). She told me she wanted to be a Nurse Practitioner like her mommy (as well as her Aunt Nille). That was too sweet. We found some kid scrubs from a friend, gave her a chart that had her teacher's name on it (her patient), and made her a name badge. She thought she was too cute!! I'm sure her career choices will change a million times before she gets to college. Just last year at her preschool graduation she told everyone that she wanted to be a dancer when she grew up!!!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of Brady before going to Preschool-3. He goes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. He also stays for extended care some Thursday afternoons from 12p-3p. He likes it alot and always wants to do his homework when Abigail is doing her homework for the next day. He loves his teacher, Ms. Holly. Brady calls her Ms. Howwy b/c he can't say his L's. It sounds so cute when he says it. He is getting so big and we love him so much.

The kids had a lot of fun last night. Abigail was a tiger girl (she says a cheetah girl), Brady was spiderman, and Jackson was a monkey. We went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Scott pulled the kids in their wagon, and I pushed Jackson in his stroller. We walked around with our friends Stephanie & Todd and their kids Emma & Noah. The kids got WAY to much candy. It was a nice night though and the kiddos had fun.

I can't believe Jackson is already 7 months old. He has been such a blessing and joy to our family. He is really good and always has a cheesy grin on his face. He started saying "ma" "mama" last night. It was so cute!!! Abigail and Brady really love their lil brother, but Brady tries to be to rough with him. I'm sure they will be fighting before too long like normal siblings!!!

We love you Jackson! Here are a few things about him.

Wt: 18lbs 10.5oz Ht: 27 3/4 in HC: 17.5

Feeding: He is still breastfeeding, but does take a little formula when I'm at work. He usually takes a 6.5 ounce bottle, but has taken 8 as well. He has had all 1st foods and loves them all except bananas. My other 2 loved bananas!!

Playing: He is on a routine of feed/play/sleep. He is rolling over, crawling (kind of a military crawl), and trying to pull up. He loves playing in his "baby area" which my mom calls his cage!! He loves playing with all his toys (well their really his brother's old toys, but he doesn't care). He does a lot of baby talking now and can get very loud. He LOVES his pacifier and that will solve most of his problems. He only really cries when he is gassy or sleepy.

Sleeping: He usually takes a cat nap in the morning and a good nap in the afternoon. He used to sleep great at night, but now he doesn't. He still sleeps in the co-sleeper bed beside us. Yes, he has a crib but doesn't sleep at night in there b/c we are afraid Jackson may wake Brady up. Maybe he is going through a horrible sleeping phase--we shall see.

Abigail's elementary school was celebrating the 50th day of school by the kids dressing up like the 1950's. Here are a few pics of her before school. She LOVED her her hair and outfit!!!! She said that a lot of girls had "prudle" skirts on. I thought that was so cute. She is such a priss, but we love her so much!

Our trip to Dallas & Abilene!

We loaded (I mean packed down) the Yukon on Wednesday October 17th and headed for Dallas, TX. Abigail and Brady were asking "when are we going to be there" before we even got to Texarkana. When we got to Dallas Abigail said, "What country are we in?" We finally made it Derek and Hallie's (my brother-in-law and sister-in-law) apartment and the kids were so happy. They love them as well as their dog and cat. When we got settled we all walked down to this delicious mexican restaurant that Scott LOVES!!! After we ate, we went back to their cozy apartment and chatted until they had to go to bed. We all had a great time and we hate they live so far away. Early the next morning we head for Abilene to see my sister Robyn and her family. The kids were so excited to see their cousins Anna and Layne. They love each other and fight like siblings. Tenille and Lexi flew in that Thursday night and then we had a total of 13 in Robyn's house. It was really fun though!! We had a fun filled weekend with Anna's cute "tea party" birthday party on Friday night, then the ACU football game on Saturday afternoon. Jackson did so well the whole weekend-he just goes with the flow. Oh, we also did a lot of eating which I love to do. We headed home early Sunday morning and were back in Conway in time to do Abigail's homework for the next day. Thanks for the great visit Robyn!!!!

Bonnie & Jason's wedding in Memphis!

We went to Scott's sisters (Bonnie) wedding during the first weekend in October in Memphis. Scott was the groomsman and he also gave Bonnie away. Abigail was the flower girl and Brady was the ring bearer. Jackson and I just dressed up for the wonderful occasion! We also took our babysitter Kathleen to help with the kids. Everything was just beautiful. The rehearsal dinner was at the Northwest passage at the Memphis Zoo. The kids LOVED looking at the sea lions and all the other animals that were around that evening. The wedding ceremony was so pretty and I was so proud of my kids. Abigail walked down the isle (she said she wasn't going to do it) , but she walked so fast I almost missed it. Brady also walked, but right behind his Aunt Hallie and tugging at her dress. He made it to the alter, then sat down with me and Derek. He was asleep w/in 5 minutes of sitting in Derek's lap. Abigail stayed with the girls at the alter, but she quickly became restless. She tossed, turned, and made a lot of different hand gesters. Thank goodness the ceremony wasn't too long. Anyway, everything turned out perfect. After the wedding we headed the reception located on the skyway at the Peabody hotel. The kids had a great time dancing. Abigail was even doing a gymnastic performance. By the time we got back to the hotel the kids were worn out. It was a great weekend though. Thanks to Bonnie and Jason for letting us be a part of it.
